Thanks for fixing it Bub,sorry I was pissy.

Softy I always hated Pink Floyd (even though I'm younger than the original pink floyd peeps, they're like icons or something.right?hee hee )! I'm like the black sheep of my generation, hated hair bands too!

i still hate hair bands. but i misinterpretted this forum, thought it read "best song you've ever heard," instead of "never."

that floyd is played on every classic rock channel at least 3 times per day. so it doesn't count.

never heard? hmmm.

maybe "masterfade" by andrew bird? anyone hear it? or how about "ayiti (bang bang)" by caremi? has anyone heard the live version of "via chicago" by wilco? those 3 song are really what i'm into lately. that and alotta old school beasties.

I love pretty much anything Wilco do.

I'd say Blindsided by Bon Iver, it's only modern, but it's unlikely to be gracing charts or anything. It's hauntingly beautiful.

aha! i've never heard bon iver. i will check it out though.

wilco is one of my favs., but i just can't get over the kicking television album. i went to see them in wichita last year, and i've never heard a band sound so good live before. i don't know how they do it.

I have to whole-heartedly second Will's first submission of "Frank Sanatra" by Cake... easily the best song ever.

But because I think this song is great: "My balls, Your chin" by Snot

This song is my wife and I's song... "You Got Me" by Jill Scott and The Roots:

And "Chasey Lain" by The Bloodhound Gang... simply because of the vulgarity:

hahahah i haven't heard chasey lain in a long time. snot is classic. my sister just saw them in wichita (singer from sevendust).

i was supposed to see Amen once open for slipknot, but the crappy opening band Dope got them kicked off the tour, according to Mick from slipknot after the show....by the way, really cool guy, in fact all the guys from slipknot were cool.
